Dark Forest

I showed this photo to Toby and he immediately got quiet.

‘I just watched Three Body Problem,’ he said. ‘This looks like someone trying to escape the destruction of their star. They were probably running their mouths too much and then - kablooey!’

I told him that I knew someone just like that, but he wasn’t listening.

‘How did you get this photo?’ he asked.

I told him that I was flying back from Orlando the other day during the solar storm and the Aurora was visible all the way down to Florida. I just happened to catch a shooting star in the photo.

‘Oh, I don’t like storms!’ he exclaimed! ‘Thor is angry and hurts my ears!’

‘Maybe he blew up the star?’ he muttered as he ran off to hide.
