Islands in the Mist
I went down to Washington DC to watch the kids run a half marathon. Obviously I wasn’t watching much running if I was out taking this photo, but they had left to run down the C&O Canal trail for almost 7 miles then turn around and run back so I had a couple of hours to kill.
It was supposed to be raining all morning, but luckily it moved out before the race started so a fog could develop on the Potomac. Eventually the fog got quite thick on the still water and these little islands started to look like they had risen from a fantasy story.
