Beacon to the Gods

Eiffel Tower

Toby was sure this blasphemy was going to be punished. ‘There are no gods! There is only one God! Sirius, the dog god for whom the star was named!’

I really wanted to pull out my line from the movie, Airplane and say - “Surely, you can’t be serious?”, but he was getting excited and thundered, ‘Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky and anchors the great constellation, Canis Major! Repent now, and I will intercede and ask Sirius to forgive you! Remember that god is dog spelled backwards!’

Obviously I had touched a nerve, so rather than explain that this was just a picture of the Eiffel Tower with some Nothern Lights pasted on behind it, I decided to take my leave and let him cool down.
