Country Roads
Toby and I decided to go out to shoot the Milky Way. (Actually he didn’t want to go - he barked for the first 20 minutes until he realized he might just be giving his location away to any wild animals then he curled up in the back seat of the car and hid.) I live in an area that isn’t conducive to dark sky shots (that is Washington DC and suburbs in the background), but I wanted to see what I might get. This was 2 hours after sunset and shortly after moonset. I was amazed I could get the Milky Way to show at all much less this well. The lemon of not having a dark sky allowed this shot of the farm to look like it was sunset and that is the way I processed it. Single Exposure, 16mm, 800iso, 20”. Believe it or don’t.
